After Anindya explained everything on the phone, Lia answered.
"I see... I understand. Now, you need to find a fever compress," Lia said over the phone.
"There’s usually a Cekké brand fever compress in the medicine cabinet" Lia continued.
Anindya nodded quickly, even though Lia couldn’t see her. She stood up from her chair and moved quickly to the medicine cabinet near the entrance. Her hands trembled as she opened the drawer and searched every corner for the fever compress. Finally, she found it.
"Found it!!" Anindya exclaimed, relieved and happy.
"Great, Lady. Now open the packaging and apply the compress to Julian’s forehead" Lia said over the phone.
"Okay!" Anindya replied confidently.
Anindya hung up, tore open the packaging, and applied the compress to Julian’s forehead.
"Hopefully, this will help reduce your fever, Julian" Anindya murmured anxiously.
After applying the compress to Julian’s forehead, Anindya waited for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, Anindya checked Julian’s body again. She was surprised that his fever hadn’t gone down. Panicked, she called Lia again.
"Hello" Lia answered into the phone.
"Lia! Julian’s fever isn’t going down! I’ve already applied a compress!" Anindya said frantically.
"That’s strange. His fever should have gone down immediately" Lia muttered, thinking.
Lia realized something was wrong.
"Or maybe..." Lia muttered into the phone.
"Lia! Are you there? I can’t hear you" Anindya asked in a high-pitched voice.
"Yes, I’m here, Young Lady!, I was just thinking for a moment" Lia answered clearly into the phone.
"Okay, so what did you find?" Anindya asked frantically.
"Lady Anindya... I wanted to ask, have you removed the plastic wrap from the compress?" Lia asked quietly but clearly.
Anindya suddenly froze. Her eyes widened, then she quickly turned to Julian and stared at the compress still attached to his forehead.
"Plastic... wrapping?" she said softly.
Anindya approached Julian, then took the compress from his forehead and looked at the back of the compress—sure enough, the plastic wrapping was still perfectly attached.
"OH MY GOD!!" Anindya shouted, slapping her forehead.
"I’m forgot to remove the plastic wrapping!!, You stupid, Anindya!!" Anindya said in an annoyed tone.
Lia on the other end of the phone slapped her forehead and sighed, then said
"Haa... Alright, Lady. Now you can remove the plastic wrapping and put it back on Julian’s forehead" Lia said.
"Okay!" Anindya replied.
Anindya nodded quickly and put the phone on the table. She hastily removed the clear plastic and reattached the compress.
"Sorry, Julian... I was so careless" Anindya murmured softly, then gently stroked Julian’s hair.
A few minutes later, Julian’s previously pale face began to calm down a little. His breathing slowly became more regular.
Seeing this, Anindya finally breathed a sigh of relief and immediately picked up her phone.
"Lia... it looks like he’s starting to react" Anindya said happily.
"Good, You’ve done well, Young Lady. The rest is just waiting and making sure he rests" Lia said, pleased with happily.
"Alright... Thank you very much, Lia" Anindya said with a smile, though she still looked worried.
After hanging up, Anindya sat in the chair next to Julian’s bed until he woke up.
09:22.
A few minutes passed, and only the ticking of the wall clock could be heard in the silent Infirmary room. From a distance, footsteps could be heard heading towards the school Infirmary.
"Tap! Tap! Tap!" someone’s footsteps approached the treatment room.
The person stopped in front of the treatment room door, then—
"SLIIIDE!" the treatment room door slid open.
"EXCUSEEE MEEE, I’M BACKK!!" shouted Lavendina, the infirmary teacher, who had returned.
Lavendina walked into the school infirmary.
"Ahh, I’m so full~, Thanks for the meal~!" Lavendina said with a happy expression and tone.
As she walked, Lavendina saw Anindya asleep, sitting up with her head resting on the bed. Lavendina paused for a moment, looking at the scene before her.
"Hm? Lady Anindya?..." Lavendina murmured, looking at Anindya.
Lavendina looked to see who was asleep in bed.
"Hmmmmm?" Lavendina said, squinting at the bed.
After seeing everything, Lavendina smiled.
"This must be the child Lia was talking about" Lavendina said with a smile.
Shortly after, Julian began to regain consciousness. He slowly opened his eyes and stared at the white ceiling of the infirmary. He quickly got up and sat up in bed.
"Thank goodness you’re awake" Lavendina said with a gentle smile, standing on the other side of the bed.
"M-Ms. Lavendina?" asked Julian, still weak.
Suddenly, Julian felt a throbbing and painful sensation in his left arm, making him wince.
"Ouch!" said Julian, holding his left hand.
"Hm?, I think your bandage is tied too tightly" Lavendina said, looking at Julian’s left arm.
Bending down, Lavendina reached for Julian’s left hand, his face slightly flushed from the sudden touch. Then, Lavendina began to unwrap the bandage. After removing it, Lavendina said
"This doesn’t seem clean enough, huh" Lavendina said, looking at the wound on Julian’s left arm.
Lavendina let go of Julian’s left hand, straightened herself, and said,
"Just a moment, I’ll get some medicine for you" Lavendina said with a smile and a gentle tone.
"Okay..." Julian replied, his cheeks flushed.
Lavendina started walking toward the medicine cabinet. As she walked, she said,
"Oh yeah, you should thank Anindya, because she’s been taking care of you" Lavendina said, pointing at Anindya.
Julian slowly glanced over at the chair beside the bed—and there Anindya was sound asleep on the bed, her hair a bit messy. Julian smiled and gently stroked Anindya’s hair with his right hand. But as he did, suddenly—
"Grab!" Anindya gripped Julian’s hand tightly.
Julian was startled, Anindya quickly pulled his hand away.
"SWISH!" Anindya pulled his hand away.
Anindya immediately made her hand like this ✋ and immediately pointed her fingertips at Julian’s Adam’s apple.
Julian began to express fear, swallowing his saliva, then said
"A-Anin...dya?!" Julian said in a frightened tone. Check latest chapters at novel•fire.net
Anindya didn’t respond. Julian tried to glance at her, but he was surprised to find her still asleep.
